Wanna Get Away

I booked a flight this morning to fly out of LA for the weekend. The name of the flights that I booked were an online special called "Wanna Get Away" which couldn't be more true. I am ready to get the hell out of LA and spend a quiet, reflective weekend at my South Lake Tahoe Condo. I will be surrounded by nothing but snow, a fireplace and wine. I won't even have the dogs. I plan to take this time to have a silent retreat and take a step back from my hectic Los Angeles life and re-organize my priorities - what makes me happy, what doesn't make me happy, and what will make me happy...genuinely happy. Hopefully I will gain positive reflection time while I'm there...instead of constantly thinking about why I left LA.

Snow, Trees, Wine, Fire, NO LA.

It was bring your dog to work day for the creative team. Mike brought his super puppy aged pug/cocker spaniel Nyla, krankel brought his 5 month old Min Pin Toby, Blake brought his chihuahua Widget (who's sitting on my lap right now) AAAND Jelly and Billy. Which by the way - TODAY IS BILLY'S BIRTHDAY!! She's 2. I love her so much. The dog dogs were a hit and everyone loved em.

Stuntkid Jason Levesque

Last Friday I had a photoshoot with Jason Levesque also known as stuntkid. He's super cool and always has cool ideas. Not to mention, he's also a bad ass illustrator. It was originally planned to happen thursday night, but rescheduled for friday morning so the rice had to be refrigerated. And wet hair, cold rice, and balls in my mouth makes for a very cold, very awkward Cher. haha Here are a couple pictures from the shoot.

And the winner is...

I won the best costume award at work. At first glance, my co-workers thought I was a kid from the school across the street. Oh well, so much for using Halloween as an excuse to look sexy.

The procrastinated search...

Halloween has never been the most exciting holiday for me. I've never had an experience memorable enough to be motivated to make exciting plans for the celebration. So, without any enticing plans ahead of me, I decided to show holiday spirit and look for a costume just IN CASE I found something exciting enough to do. If not, at least I'd have fun in my studio apartment fully clad in whatever cliche character is last on the shelf at "The Halloween Headquarters"

Here are a few costume ideas...
